Benefit Saturday for shooting victim

A benefit car show and audio competition is set for Saturday in support of a local man injured in the Lafayette Grand Theatre shooting and another man with medical expenses.
Local business Bad Influence Alterations will hold its Benefit Car Show and Audio Competition at Franklin Senior High School on Cynthia Street in Franklin. Proceeds will go toward medical bill assistance for Matthew Rodriguez who was shot last week at the Grand Theater in Lafayette. Matthew Landry has undergone extensive heart surgery and is in need of costs not covered by insurance.
Registration for the car show and audio contest is 9 a.m. to noon and costs $20 for each show. Awards will be presented in the afternoon. Vendors can rent a 10-foot square space for $25.
Entry to the event is $10 per person over age 10.
The benefit is a United States Autosound Competition International sanctioned event.
