Shrimp and Festival Petroleum Festival performers: Nashville South, Southern Roots Band

From the music to the high tech lighting show, Nashville South has taken the rocking country band theme to the next level. Their musicianship allows them to change their song list as the chart-topping country hits change. Nashville South, a rocking country band from New Orleans and the surrounding region, has established a distinguished history in the short time they have been together. The band has progressed steadily since their beginning in early 2014. The band includes Lamar Caskey, lead vocals; Michelle Trahan, lead vocals; BJ Triay, drums and backing vocals; Steve Caronna, bass guitar; Ken Thompson, keyboards and backing vocals; and Tommy Dean, guitar and backing vocals. Nashville South will perform at this year’s Shrimp & Petroleum Festival at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6.
