Car plunges into pool after wreck

A car drove into the swimming pool at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Morgan City this morning after another vehicle collided with it causing it to take a plunge, police said.
The preliminary investigation revealed that two vehicles were traveling north on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Morgan City when one vehicle attempted to change lanes causing a crash, Capt. Teddy Liner said.
Upon impact, the car that was hit went into the swimming pool at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Morgan City, Liner said. Two people were transported to Teche Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries, Liner said. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, Liner said.
