Deputies, police arrest 3 on drug charges

Detectives from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Morgan City Police Department arrested three suspects after executing a search warrant at a residence in Centerville, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Ragan Alcina, 36, of the 9300 block of La. 182 in Centerville, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. Tuesday on the charges of possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of Schedule II (Percocet), possession of Schedule II (Lortab), possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin), possession of Schedule V (Lyrica), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone).
—Lance R. Lemaire, 35, of the 8400 block of Lake Peigneur Road in New Iberia, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. Tuesday on the charges of possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
—Deidra Guillotte, 46, of the 9300 block of La. 182 in Centerville, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. Tuesday on the charges of possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine), possession of Schedule I (marijuana), violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone), possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division accompanied by members of the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division executed a search warrant in the 9300 block of La. 182 in Centerville. Detectives located Lemaire, Alcina, Guillotte, and a juvenile inside the residence.
The juvenile was released to a family member. During a search of the residence, detectives located a container where Lemaire and Alcina were located. Inside the container were several bags of crystal methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was prepackaged for sale.
A rifle was found inside Lemaire’s vehicle and other firearms were located throughout the residence. Detectives also located Percocet, Lortab, Klonopin, and Lyrica pills, along with marijuana, during the search. The residence is located within 2,000 feet of Centerville High School.
As the investigation progressed, detectives learned that Lemaire and Alcina both sell methamphetamine and that Lemaire has been convicted of possession of Schedule I MDMA. The conviction prohibits him from possessing a firearm. All three subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail was set.
Hebert reported responding to 35 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Jamie Boudreaux, 52, of the 400 block of Charlotte Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant charging the suspect for issuing worthless checks and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs. A deputy located Boudreaux at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrants. Boudreaux was transported to the parish jail for booking.
On the warrant for issuing worthless checks, Boudreaux was issued a summons to appear in court Nov. 2. Bail was set at $2,500 for the failure to appear warrant.
—Chris M. Smith Jr., 30, of the 100 block of Cypress Drive in Berwick, was arrested at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant charging him with three counts of unauthorized use of an access card. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a credit card being used at different locations without the card owner’s permission.
A detective investigating the complaint identified Smith as the subject who illegally used the card three times at two businesses in Bayou Vista and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Smith turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. No bail was set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Danielle Jones, 28, of Ehrlich Street in Berwick, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. Tuesday on the charges of no turn signal and driving under suspension. She was jailed and her bond was set at $1,250.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Kalab C. Wood, 21, of Glenwood Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Tuesday on the charge of failure to pay fines.
Wood was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail.
l when an outstanding warrant for the 6th Ward City Court was filed. Wood was booked and continues to be jailed.
—Heather D. Banda, 38, of Fifth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:39 a.m. Tuesday on the charge of failure to pay fine. Banda was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail when an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court was filed. Banda was booked and continues to be jailed.
—Allan J. Jeanise, 57, of Schriever, was arrested at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday on the charge of contempt of court (two counts). Jeanise was transported from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office to the Morgan City Police Department for outstanding warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Jeanise was booked and jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
