Voting books to close Wednesday

Wednesday is the last chance to register to vote in the Oct. 24 election.
Registrar of Voters Jolene Holcombe said voter registration books will close at the end on business on Wednesday.
If not yet registered, visit the Registrar’s Office on the third floor of the courthouse in Franklin, 500 Main St., or the branch office in Morgan City, 301 Third St.
Early voting for the local and state primary elections will be held Oct. 10-17.
