'Jacks move up to No. 7 in Class 3A poll

Patterson High School moved up a spot to No. 7 in the latest Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 3A prep football poll.
Patterson (6-2), which defeated Erath 43-22 last week,
received 51 points.
The Lumberjacks are the only team in District 8-3A in the Class 3A top 10.
However, E.D. White (5-3) also received a vote in this week's poll.
University Lab (7-1) remains No. 1 in Class 3A with six first-place votes and 114 overall.
In Class 1A, Central Catholic remained at No. 7 after defeating Hanson Memorial 52-22 a week ago.
The Eagles (7-1), who received 62 points in this week's poll, are one of three teams from District 7-1A ranked in the top 10, joining No. 2 Ascension Episcopal (8-0) and No. 6 Vermilion Catholic (6-2).
St. Mary's (8-0) remained the No. 1 team in Class 1A with eight first-place votes and 118 points overall.
In Class 4A, Morgan City's
District 7-4A opponent, Assumption (7-1), received two
votes this week.
Neville (8-0) remained No.1
in Class 4A with all 10 firstplace votes.
