Veterans luncheon
will be Thursday
The St. Mary Council on Aging’s Honoring Our Veterans luncheon will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Franklin City Recreation Center, Gum Streetand Hospital Avenue in Franklin. All veterans are welcome. There will be bingo and door prizes.

Two share victory
in football contest
Patterson and Morgan City residents will split the top prizes in last week’s Daily Review football prediction contest.
Francis Sweet of Patterson and Cassie Aloisio of Morgan City were among the six people who picked all but the Atlanta-Tampa NFL game correctly.
Sweet and Aloisio tied when it came to getting close to the final score in the tiebreaker game, the Assumption-South Lafourche high school game.
Sweet and Aloisio will split the first and second prize, winning $30 each.

Free Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 14
The public is invited to a free Thankgiving Dinner 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 14 at Pharr Chapel UMC, 517 Federal Ave. in Morgan City.
