WSM, Centerville earn playoff berths: HMS beats Gueydan; Bears shut out Bulldogs

The West St. Mary Wolfpack and the Centerville Bulldogs will enter the 2015 LHSAA football playoffs in their respective classes.
West St. Mary will take on Oakdale in the Class 2A 2015 LHSAA football playoff bracket in the opening round.
No. 19-seeded West St. Mary finished the season with a 4-6 overall record. Oakdale, the No. 14-seed, posted a 5-5 overall record in the regular season.
The 21-seeded Centerville Bulldogs will take on No. 12 LaSalle in the Class 1-A 2015 LHSAA football playoff bracket in the bidistrict round.
Centerville posted a 3-7 overall record on the sason while LaSalle strung together a 6-4 overall worksheet.

The Hanson Memorial Tigers defeated the Gueydan Bears 42-6 in the District 7-A finale Friday at McCloskey Field.
Hanson finished the season with a 3-7 overall record along with a 2-5 district mark.

CENTERVILLE _ Highland Baptist posted a 53-0 District 7-A victory over the Centerville Bulldogs here Friday in the regular season finale at Bulldog Stadium.
Centerville finished the season at 3-7 overall and 0-7 in District 7-A.
The Highland Baptist Bears turned in a 7-3 overall record including at 4-3 won-loss District 7-A mark.
