Lady Hornets top Lady Tigers
JEANERETTE _ Quanta Jones poured in 25 points, lifting the Franklin Lady Hornets to a 44-32 victory over the Jeanerette Lady Tigers here Thursday at the Jeanerette High School Gymnasium.
Franklin opened with a 12-4 lead in the initial period before garnering a 23-13 cushion at the half. The Lady Hornets secured a 31-23 lead at the end of three quarters before earning the 44-32 win.
Jones led the Lady Hornets in scoring with a game-high 25 points on 10 field goals, including a pair of treys, along with 3 of 6 free throws. Chardonnae Parker tossed in six points on two field goals and 2 of 2 charity shots. Jazmine Byers also tallied six points on three floor shots while Kaira Butler bagged five points on 5 of 8 freebies and Ajontae McDaniel had 2 points on one field goal.
M. Jean-Louis led Jeanerette with 15 points.
The Franklin Lady Hornets will return to action on Tuesday, December 1 at the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers.
