Funeral services for Alvin Paul Cloud will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson during a noon Mass of Christian burial. Father Herb Bennerfield will be the Celebrant for the Mass. Following the Mass, he will be cremated and laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum during a private graveside service.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Serving as pallbearers will be Leonard Cloud, John Richard, Kevin Simon, Rodney Houston, Kade Simon, Kaleb Simon, and Kole Simon. Honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Houston.
Alvin was a native of Evangeline and a resident of Patterson. He passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, in Sanders, Kentucky, while away for work.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Leona Accardo Cloud; his children, Leonard “Boo Boo” Cloud and his wife, Debby, Donald “Noonie” Cloud and his wife, Cheryl, Wendell “Kee Kee” Cloud and his wife, Ronda, Pamela Cloud, and Timmy Cloud; one sister, Virgie Lucas; two stepchildren, Kevin Simon, and Monique Simon Houston and her husband, Rodney; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Cloud and Leviuia Aguillard Cloud; one brother, Joe Cloud; four sisters, Lessie Bouley, Carrie Vincent, Juanita Richard and Eula Mae Bouley; and a step-granddaughter, Katie Rose Simon.
