JOSEPH BUTLER SR.

Joseph Butler Sr., 80, a native of Verdunville and a resident of Patterson, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 10:22 a.m., at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be observed on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Railroad Avenue Church of Christ 1105 Railroad Avenue Morgan City, with Stanley Rankins officiating the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Nazarene Cemetery in Verdunville.
Joseph leaves his legacy of love with his loving wife, Mary Williams-Butler; his three sons, Neal Butler, David Butler and Joseph Butler Jr.; a daughter, Berthena Butler-King; a daughter-in-law, all of Patterson; four brothers, Hilliard Butler (Lillie), Henry Butler Jr. (Lillian), and Lloyd Butler, all of Verdunville, and Floyd Butler of Houston, TX; a sister-in-law; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two sisters, four brothers, one grandchild, six sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
