Tigers' match ends in a tie

The Morgan City High School boys’ soccer team played Westminster Academy to a 2-all tie Friday at Tiger Stadium in Morgan City.
All of the scoring came in the first half.
Westminster scored first, and Morgan City tied the match on a goal by Carlos Calderon.
Westminster scored again and Morgan City tied it again via a goal by Brayan Aleman.
“This was a very good game and was close on both sides,” Morgan City Coach Trevor Patterson said. “Each team had numerous opportunities to win it.”
Morgan City (2-8-2, 0-1) will return to action today when it travels to face Belle Chasse in a District 6-III contest set for 7 p.m.
