Police Reports 1-11-16
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Mike Morvant, 52, of Ingleside, Texas, was arrested Saturday and charged with remaining where forbidden, disturbing the peace and simple battery. No bond was set.
Scott Morvant, 53, of Nederland, Texas, was arrested Saturday and charged with remaining where forbidden and disturbing the peace and released on a summons.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Peter Businelle, 68, of 641 Seventy Nine Pines Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at 10:07 a.m. and charged on a warrant for prohibited splitting of profits, fees, or commissions, public payroll fraud and public contract fraud. Businelle was released after posting a $300,000 property bond.
Cotney Rudolph, 22, of 11050 La. 182, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 11:06 a.m. and charged on a warrant for cruelty to animals.
Elvis Caro, 38, of 11050 La. 182, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 2:57 p.m. and charged on a warrant for cruelty to animals.
Rudolph and Caro were released on summons to appear in court.
Delvin Darby, 22, of 419 Robertson St., Lot #3, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 1:14 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts and failure to honor written promise to appear. Darby was transported to the parish jail for booking and was later released on a $100 bond.
Devron Sereal, 24, of 11105 Pecan Lane, Jeanerette, was arrested Friday at 7:30 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass and no driver’s license.
Corey Sereal, 41, of 611 Cypress St., Jeanerette, was arrested Friday at 7:30 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass.
Both subjects were released on summons to appear in court.
Joseph W. Youman, 49, of 317 Rod Lane, Baldwin, was arrested Saturday at 2:05 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of expired boat registration certificate. Youman was released on a $750 bond.
Devonte Carter, 23, 69½ Lee St., Franklin, was arrested Monday at 1:30 a.m. and charged with driving under suspension. Carter was released on a summons to appear in court.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Travis Boatman, 36, of Carl C. Foulcard Drive, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 7:28 a.m. and charged with driving under suspension. Boatman was processed and released on $1,000 bond.
Reuben Evans Jr., 28, of Bud Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 11:28 p.m. and charged on a warrant from Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. Evans was processed and held on a $408.
Clyde Darby, 29, of Franklin, was arrested Friday at 12:05 p.m. and charged on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. Darby was also arrested on a warrant for parole violation for Lafayette. Darby was additionally charged with resisting an officer. Darby was processed and held with no bond set.
Lashon Johnson Jr., 20, of Canal Dr., Franklin, was arrested Friday at 7:22 p.m. and charged with speeding by radar (50 mph in a 25 mph zone) and careless operation. Johnson was processed and released on a $750 bond.
Anthony Wells, 70, of Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 12:49 a.m. and charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics (crack cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wells was processed and held with no bond set.
Malik Parker, 18, of Caffery Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 4:51 p.m. and charged with possession of Schedule I narcotics (synthetic cannabinoids) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I narcotics (promethazine) with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia (first offense), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minors, felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, proceeds from drug transactions and abuse of toxic vapors. Parker was processed and held with no bond set.
Joaquima Brown, 21, of Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 7:08 p.m. and charged with open alcohol container. Brown was processed and held on a $250 bond.
Wibrey Dauntain, 21, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 7:10 p.m. and charged with driving under suspension and loud music. Dauntain was processed and held on a $1,500 bond.
