Area gymnasts place at meet

The Cajun Kips gymnasts of Jennings Gymnastics won 52 gold medals at the recent Gymfest meet in Baton Rouge.
The Level 2 team also won first- team awards, while Level 1 brought home second and Level 3 won third .
Several area gymnasts were among those participating.
Below are the area representatives and their finishes in their respective events:
Level 1
—Mollie Doiron of Stephensville: All-Around, first place; Vault, third; Uneven Bars, first; Balance Beam, second; Floor Exercise, second.
—Jayde Lasseigne of Berwick: All-Around, first; Vault, first; Uneven Bars, second; Balance Beam, second; Floor Exercise, second.
—Alyssa Henry of Patterson: All-Around, second; Vault, second; Uneven Bars, first; Balance Beam, third; Floor Exercise, first.
—Emma Peters of Morgan City: All-Around, fourth; Vault, first; Uneven Bars, fifth; Balance Beam, fourth; Floor Exercise, fourth.
—Julia Sloane of Morgan City: All-Around, fourth; Vault, seventh; Uneven Bars, third; Balance Beam, sixth; Floor Exercise, fifth.
—Natalie Sloane of Morgan City: All-Around, seventh; Vault, seventh; Uneven Bars, fifth; Balance Beam, seventh; Floor Exercise, fourth.

Level 2
—Madison Simmons of Berwick: All-Around, first; Vault, second; Uneven Bars, first; Balance Beam, first; Floor Exercise, first.
