Police: Morgan City man robbed, kidnapped after meeting woman on dating site

Three suspects were arrested in Houma for allegedly robbing, kidnapping and carjacking a Morgan City man, who arrived at a Houma residence to meet a woman he met on a dating site, according to Houma police.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Jan. 8, Houma police investigated an incident on Gibb Street in which a male victim from Morgan City entered a dating site, www.backpage.com, arranged to meet a woman and upon meeting her was robbed by two men, a Houma police news release said. Through investigation, Houma police identified the male suspects as Delano Jenkins, 21, of Gibb Street in Houma, and Tyrone Lee, 28, of Naquin Street in Houma
During the investigation, Houma police also learned once the male victim met the female, who was identified Brandy Helms, 33, of Gibb Street in Houma, she made him undress. Helms then turned on the music, which was a signal for the suspects to enter, the release said. After she gave the signal, Jenkins and Delano entered the bedroom, made several threats to the victim and robbed him of his money and cell phone, police said.
Houma police were also able to ascertain information that after the suspects robbed the victim, they made him enter his vehicle, took him to the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank on Grand Calliou Road where he was ordered to withdraw money from his account. Afterwards, they brought him back to Gibb Street where he was released, police said.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Houma Police located Helms and Jenkins and they were arrested for robbery, kidnapping and carjacking. Later during the day Tyrone Lee was located and he was subsequently arrested for the same charges.
