The weather system that rolled through St. Mary Parish Thursday night is expected to turn north and cause extensive damage to areas of the northeastern part of the country. St. Mary sheriff’s deputies working overnight responded to two weather related incidents: A large tree limb fell into the middle of the roadway on Freetown Road in Glencoe. The tree was removed by parish workers. Another tree limb fell onto a mobile home and power line in Centerville. That incident was turned over to the power company and fire department. No injuries were reported. Weather forecasters are predicting blizzard conditions for some parts of the country including the nation’s capital.
