Patterson man charged with child porn possession

A 20-year-old Patterson man was arrested on a warrant after officers discovered downloaded images of child pornography on his computer, St. Mary Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Joshua T. Miller, 20, of the 100 block of Laura Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging him with pornography involving juveniles.
The detective investigating a complaint of a molestation of juvenile charge developed information that Miller downloaded pornographic images of children, Hebert said.
The detective obtained a search warrant and located over 80 images of child pornography on Miller’s personal computer and other electronic devices, Hebert said. A warrant was then issued for his arrest. The detectives located Miller at his home. Miller was jailed with bail set at $300,000.
Authorities also arrested Miller Feb. 5 on a warrant charging him with aggravated crime against nature. The sheriff’s office received a report of a possible molestation of a juvenile.
A detective with the Juvenile Division conducted an investigation and gathered evidence that Miller touched a juvenile female victim in a manner that was sexual while at a residence in the Patterson area, Hebert said. The juvenile was 9 years old when the sexual abuse occurred.
Hebert reported responding to 158 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Yvishia Levine, 25, of the 1200 block of Third Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:37 p.m. Friday on Franklin Police Department warrants for violating a protective order and resisting an officer. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located Levine at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin and transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
—Minh Lam, 59, of the 200 block of Vivian Street in Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. Friday on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension second offense. A deputy observed a vehicle speeding on La. 182 in Amelia and conducted a traffic stop.
The deputy made contact with the driver, Lam, and discovered that his driver’s license was listed as sus-pended. Lam was booked into the parish jail and released on a summons to appear in court May 4.
—Jaime Quintanilla Sr., 58, of the 300 block of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:36 p.m. Saturday and charged with obscenity. A deputy responded to a complaint of obscenity at Two Sisters Landing in Bayou Vista. The deputy gathered statements that Quintanilla was seen masturbating inside of a vehicle, Hebert said. Quintanilla was jailed with no bail set.
—Dona F. Sniffen, 26, of the 700 block of Verson Street in Berwick, was ar-rested at 10:12 p.m. Saturday on the charges of violating the maximum speed limit law and improper lane usage. A deputy travelling U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista observed a vehicle moving at 80 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.
The deputy also observed the vehicle cut off another driver before exiting in Berwick. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Sniffen. Following the traffic stop investigation, Sniffen was released on a summons to appear in court May 4.
—Kim Dekerlegand, 50, of the 400 block of Teche Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:38 a.m. Sunday on the charge of off road vehicle on a public roadway. A deputy observed a male subject driving an ATV with two juveniles on Teche Road. The deputy made contact with the driver, Dekerlegand, and following the traffic stop, released him on a summons to appear in court May 4.
—Michael Everitt Jr., 39, of the 500 block of Clarke Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:32 a.m. Monday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of child desertion. A deputy located Everitt at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.
—Brent J. Bridges, 30, of the 100 block of Vaughn Lane in Franklin, was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Monday on the charges of possession of Schedule 2 (methamphetamine), possession of Schedule 2 (Norco), possession of a legend drug without a pre-scription, and entering con-traband into a penal institu-tion.
A deputy investigating the complaint of a suspicious person at a business on U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with Bridges.
While speaking with him, the deputy discovered that he was in possession of methamphetamine and a Norco pill. The pill was located inside of a prescription pill bottle that did not belong to Bridges.
Following the investiga-tion, Bridges was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
—Juvenile female, 16, of Patterson, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Monday on the charge of runaway juvenile. A deputy investigating a complaint of a runaway juvenile located the teen at a business in Bayou Vista.
The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juve-nile court proceedings.
—Dallas Hamlett, 21, of the 100 block of Rizzo Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. today for simple burglary (vehicle) and unauthorized use of an access card.
A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle burglary occurring at a convenience store in Centerville.
While investigating the complaint, another deputy at another location made contact with a male subject claiming to have found a credit card in the parking lot of the store. The subject was identified as Hamlett.
When the deputy ques-tioned him about the card, Hamlett admitted to taking a purse from an unlocked vehicle at the store. Hamlett also admitted to the deputy that he used the card at the store.
Deputies recovered the stolen items and returned them to the victim. Hamlett was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Jonathan C. Murray, 31, of South Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Monday on warrants charging him with probation violation and contempt of court.
Officers located Murray at a home on South Railroad Avenue. He was arrested on active warrants held by the Sixth Ward Morgan City Court. Murray was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
—Matthew L. Lamar, 28, of Palm Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:40 a.m. today on charges of improper lighting, driving under suspension and a warrant for failure to appear allowing dogs to roam.
A patrolling officer ob-served a vehicle in the area of Victor II Boulevard near Cottonwood Street with no lights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Lamar.
A warrants and driver’s license check revealed that there was an active arrest warrant held by the Sixth Ward Morgan City Court. Also, Lamar had a suspended license.
Lamar was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
—Jamie E. Chaney, 32, of Bentley Drive in Baker, was arrested at 4:56 a.m. Saturday on the charges of disturbing the peace and possession of amphetamine.
Officers responded to the area of Sixth Street at Marguerite Street in regard to a disturbance involving two subjects yelling. Officers located Chaney, who was identified as one of the individuals involved in the disturbance. While speaking with officers, Chaney appeared to be intoxicated.
During a search of Chaney at the police department, officers located suspected amphetamine. Chaney was jailed.
—Brennan J. Foreman, 23, of Susan Court in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. Saturday on the charge of probation violation.
Foreman was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office jail to the Morgan City Police Department on a warrant. Foreman was jailed.
—Frederick B. Fournet, 27, of Tallowood Street in Franklin, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. Sunday on the charges of window tint violation, possession of marijuana second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws.
—Jessica L. Daigle, 27, of Leona Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. Sunday on the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws.
A patrolling officer ob-served a vehicle with illegal window tint in the area of Federal Avenue at Onstead Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Fournet and the passenger as Daigle. Their behavior made the officer suspicious that they may be involved in illegal drug activity.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a local elementary school in violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws. Fournet and Daigle were both jailed.
—Toby L. Ledet, 42, of South Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Sunday on the charge of domestic abuse battery.
Officers responded to an address on South Railroad Avenue in regard to a domestic disturbance. Ledet, along with a person later identified as a victim of the incident, were located at the home. Officers observed signs of a battery on the victim. The victim also told officers that Ledet had struck the victim during an argument moments earlier. Ledet was jailed.
—Eduardo Zamorano, 23, of Laplaza Street in Brownsville, Texas, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. today on the charges of stopping or parking on a roadway, DWI, resisting an officer and no driver’s license.
A patrolling officer ob-served a vehicle stopped on the roadway of La. 182 at the intersection of Myrtle Street. The officer approached the vehicle and observed the driver of the vehicle, Zamorano, in the driver seat apparently sleeping.
Officers woke up Zamorano, who did not have a valid driver’s license, and he appeared to be intoxicated. Zamorano was placed under arrest, at which time he began to fight with officers. After a short struggle, he was jailed and refused further chemical testing for intoxication.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Louis Joseph Jackson Jr., 35, of the 100 block of Lydia Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Saturday on the charges of DWI first offense, open container and two headlights required. Jackson was jailed with no bail set yet.
—Roosevelt Grant Jr., 58, of the 400 block of Railroad Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. Satur-day on the charge of posses-sion of marijuana. Grant was released on $2,000 bail.
—Lisa Ann Bourque, 39, of the 4100 block of Sherry Street in Sulphur, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. Sunday on the charges of speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription, possession of Schedule II drugs and two counts of possession of Schedule IV drugs. No bail is set.
—Carmel Triggs, 34, of the 800 block of Tall Timber Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. Monday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Triggs was jailed with bail set at $427.
—Larry Lee Griffin, 58, of the 1700 block of Seyburn Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:52 p.m. Saturday on the charges of possession of marijuana first offense, drug paraphernalia, introduction of contraband into a penal institution and loud music. Griffin was jailed with no bail set yet.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Beau Lanclos, 32, of Courtableau Highway in Arnaudville, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Monday on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding 36 mph in a 20 mph zone. Lanclos posted $1,500 bail.
—Immanuel Gary, 26, of Wise Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. today on a warrant charging him with disturbing the peace. Bail is set at $150.
—Shelia Blanchard, 48, of Fairview Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:01 p.m. Saturday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Blanchard was released on $300 bail.
—Shannon Owens, 38, of Cremo Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 2:01 p.m. Saturday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Owens was released on $300 bail.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Yvishia Levine, 25, of Third Street in Patterson, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. Friday while incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on warrants for violation of a protective order and resisting an officer.
Levine allegedly called the victim who held the protective order multiple times. After speaking to the victim, officers made contact with Levine.
When officers attempted to place Levine under arrest, she allegedly fled the scene. Levine was processed and held with no bail set.
