(Updated) Police: Victim treated for gunshot wound after report of home invasion
One man was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound after Morgan City police responded to report of a possible home invasion early Thursday morning, police said.
At about 12:25 a.m. Thursday, the Morgan City Police Department responded to a complaint of a possible home invasion at a Carroll Drive residence in Morgan City. Officers dispatched to the scene located a male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, police said. The victim was transported to a medical facility where he was treated and released. The circumstances and facts of the incident have yet to be determined, and the investigation is continuing, police said. No suspect has been identified yet.
