Police Reports 3-1-16

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Brian Smith, 53, of Morris St., Franklin, was arrested Monday at 12:52 p.m. by the Third Ward City Marshal’s Office and charged on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of no taillight and driving under suspension. Smith was processed and held on a $335 cash bond.
Jamarlon Smith, 19, of Pine St., Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 12:46 a.m. and charged with illegal carrying of a weapon, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana), resisting an officer and possession of or dealing in firearms with obliterated number or mark. Smith was processed and held with no bond set.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrest:
Sean Alford, 31, of New Iberia, was arrested Monday and charged on a Chitimacha Police warrant for vehicle burglary. No bond was set.
