More parking on the way

Work went on Tuesday between the Port of Morgan City’s Government Emergency Operations Center and the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium to add over 150 parking spaces to the auditorium grounds. The project is about two weeks to three weeks from completion and cost roughly $500,000. The Port of Morgan City is funding the parking lot additions as part of a cooperative endeavor agreement with the city in exchange for the use of city property to build the emergency center, architect Carl Blum said.
