Minor injury when SUV overturns
A Bayou Vista man received only minor injuries Saturday when his SUV overturned on U.S. 90 in Berwick, restricting traffic on the highway for about an hour.
Berwick police officers responded to the single car accident that occurred on U.S. 90 at 9:54 a.m.
Kyle Severson, 20, of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was traveling west on U.S. 90 when an unknown driver in a black car pulled in front of him and braked abruptly, Berwick Police Chief James Richard said.
Severson lost control of his vehicle, and it flipped. He was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer.
Severson was transported to the hospital by Acadian Ambulance . He incurred minor injuries.
Severson was cited for driving with no driver’s license, Richard said.
Police don’t know the identity of the other driver.
Officers are looking for the driver of the other car but they only have bare information. And there was no impact from the other car.
