Police Reports 5-2-16
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Darren Holmes, 57, of Chitimacha Trail, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 4:02 p.m. for the charge of obscenity by public urination. Holmes was processed and released on a $500 bond.
LaShawn Jackson, 39, of Lafayette, was arrested Saturday at 11:54 p.m. and charged on a warrant on the charge of distribution of Schedule I narcotics and inciting a felony and a warrant on the charge of distribution of Schedule I narcotics. Jackson was processed and held on a $62,500 bond.
Randranique Williams, 24, of Martin Luther King Blvd., Franklin, was charged Sunday at 11:18 a.m. on a warrant on the charge of disturbing the peace. Williams was processed and released on a $500 bond.
Fred Stearns, 52, of Perret Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 2:32 a.m. on charges of public intoxication and remaining where forbidden. Stearns was also arrested on a warrant for Rapides Parish for contempt of court, and, a warrant for Pineville City Court for failure to appear on the charge of contempt of court. Stearns was also arrested on a warrant for Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office of issuing worthless checks. Stearns was processed and held with no bond set.
Michael Morris Jr, 17, of Talbot Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 10:47 a.m. and charged on warrants on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Morris was processed and held on a $25,000 bond.
Lysander Williams Sr., 47, of Banner Drive, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 2:46 a.m. for the charge of domestic abuse battery-first offense and disturbing the peace by intoxication. Williams was processed and held with no bond set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Jacolby Westley, 28, of 429 Big Four Corners Road, Four Corners, was arrested Friday at 3:16 a.m. on charges of headlight violations, no driver’s license on person, no insurance and expired inspection. He was released on a summons.
Courtney Frederick, 21, of 148 North Oaklawn Drive, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 6:57 a.m. on charges of speeding and improper lane use and released on a summons.
Tommy Hamilton Jr., 25, of 1016½ Barrow St., Franklin, was arrested Friday at 2:32 p.m. on warrants charging him with failure to pay community notifications as a sex offender, failure to pay annual registration fee as a registered sex offender, for failure to obtain a special identification card as a sex offender and failure to notify law enforcement of a change of address as a sex offender. No bond was set.
Devan N. Serpa, no age given, of 133 Shady Grove, Patterson, was arrested Friday at 10:09 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments and criminal damage to property. No bond was set.
Engwan N. Joseph, 36, of 128 Miggy Lane, Baldwin, was arrested Saturday at 5:14 a.m. on a charge of aggravated second degree battery and held with no bond set.
Karl D. Bourque, 67, of Lafayette, was arrested Saturday at 3:04 p.m. on charges of reckless operation and a passing zone violation. He was released on a summons.
Ray Robicheaux, 42, of 108 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 2:13 am on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, no proof of insurance, and following vehicles (too closely). No bond is set.
Danny Thomas, 53, of 237 Dixie Road, Lot 1, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 7:21 a.m. on a charge of violation of the outdoor burning ordinance. He was released on a summons.
Drashon L. August, 24, of 460 Branch St., Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 6:50 p.m. on charges of failure to yield to emergency vehicles and possession of marijuana. He was released on a summons.
