ALLEN J. HIMEL

Allen J. Himel, 50, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Amelia, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Allen was a hard-working crane operator that loved to hunt and drink his Budweiser. He loved spending time and doing things with family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma at 7 p.m.
Allen is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Himel, and Amber Ruffin and husband Joshua; his parents, Lucy and Andrew Himel Jr.; a brother, Byron Himel; three sisters, Tonya Babin, Patrice Betemps, and Denice Aucoin and fiancé T.J. Richard; grandchildren, Alaysia Francis, Jaidyn Francis, Jordyn Ruffin and Kassidy Ruffin; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy and Marie Bourgeois, Andrew Himel Sr. and Margie Himel; a niece, Brooklynn Himel; a brother-in-law, Ricky Babin; and a childhood friend, Paul Clought.
