Police Reports 5-19-16
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Matthew Freeman, 23, of 632 Sebby’s Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 3:05 a.m. and charged for operating a motor vehicle without insurance. Freeman was released on a summons to appear in court.
Desmond J. Richard, 34, of 341 Michael Dr., Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 7:58 a.m. and charged on a warrant for criminal damage to property and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $5,581.
Hakeemia Bias, 22, of Amelia, was arrested Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. and charged for entering contraband into a penal institution. Bias remains incarcerated with no bail set.
Demetrius Green, 27, of 630 Shannon St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 5:50 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. No bail was set.
Cameron Jackson, 17, of 131 Sun Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 8:05 p.m. and charged on a warrant for criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. No bail was set.
Ben S. McMillin Jr., 46, of 605 Kem St., Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 8:47 p.m. and charged for driving under suspension and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding and failure to honor written promise to appear. He was later released on a $1,335 bond.
Joseph J. Paul, 34, of 714 Iberia St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 12:46 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear in the charges of two counts of simple battery and on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation on the charge of simple battery. No bail was set.

Kelvin Matthews, 35, of 621 Belanger St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 6:22 p.m. and charged for following vehicles to closely, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthews was released on a summons to appear in court.
Jade Ruiz, 29, of 621 Belanger St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 6:22 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana. Ruiz was released on a summons to appear in court.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Latirga Hector, 26, of New Iberia, was arrested Wednesday and charged with simple battery and released on a summons.
Maxzilla Sanchez, 35, of John Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday and charged with simple assault and releases on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Travis Boatman, 38, of Carl C. Foulcard Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 6:51 p.m. for the charge of driving under suspension. Boatman was processed and released on a $1,000 bond.
Ryan LeBlanc, 22, of Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 11:17 p.m. for the charge of simple criminal damage to property. LeBlanc was processed and released on a $1,500 bond.
Brandon Butler, 32, of Martin Luther King Boulevard, Baldwin, was arrested Thursday at 4:49 a.m. for the charges of turn signal required, expired motor vehicle inspection, no driver’s license, possession of Schedule I narcotics (marijuana) with intent to distribute, resisting an officer with force, resisting an officer, possession of Schedule II narcotics (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I narcotics (ecstasy), possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. Butler was processed and held with no bond set.
