CAA sets homebuyers graduation Thursday

A graduation ceremony for St. Mary Community Action Agency’s homebuyers program participants will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m.
According to CEO Almetra J. Franklin, the graduation will take place at CAA’s central office in Peter Pan’s Gymnasium, 1407 Barrow St., Franklin, with a short reception immediately following. Twenty-one successful graduates will receive their certificates during the ceremony.
The homebuyer’s participants completed a five week course which provided them with information and resources about responsible homeownership. The course covered information ranging from how to shop for the ideal home, understanding how a credit report works, different types of mortgage loans, how to save, how to budget, and many other topics. This course allows future homebuyers to build a solid foundation before purchasing their first home.
