Even wading birds have limits

This great egret seems to be seeking shelter from Wednesday’s afternoon drizzle near Lake Palourde at Lake End Park. The egret and the Tri-City area aren’t likely to get a break from the recent wet weather until at least next week. There’s a 30 to 50 percent chance of storms each day through Monday, diminishing to 20 percent each night.
