PAMELA 'PAM' MARIE RHODES BORDELON
November 1, 1956 - August 29, 2016
Pamela “Pam” Marie Rhodes Bordelon, 59, a resident of Berwick, passed away at her home on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 1, 1956, in Morgan City, the daughter of Davis Rhodes and Sylvia Estave Rhodes.
Pam was a unique individual with a passion for fun. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her flower beds, collecting dolls, rooting for the New Orleans Saints or LSU Tigers, watching professional wrestling, shopping for antiques, and taking trips to Houma. In her earlier years, she enjoyed attending drag races.
Pam also loved the Lord. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and taught Catechism classes. However, her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed their family gatherings which gave her an opportunity to share her famous bread pudding. Pam was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of eight years, Wiley Bordelon of Berwick; children, Jennifer Holt and husband Ben of Denham Springs, Jason Cheek and wife Amy of Baton Rouge, and Joel Cheek and wife Sheila of Denham Springs; stepchildren, Stephen Bordelon and companion Brandie LeBlanc of Gibson, Amanda Manual and husband Randy of Morgan City, Jason Bordelon and companion Brandie Rowe of Amelia, and Jennifer Coburn and husband Chris of Monroe; brothers, Clyde Rhodes and wife Nancy, Kenneth Rhodes and wife Betsy, Nathan Rhodes, and Kim Rhodes and wife Cynthia; sisters, Dolores Fears and husband Keith, and Rebecca Kuhn and husband Darrell; grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Caleb, Caitlyn, Lucy, Caroline, Tyler, Noah, Hendrix, Aidan, Elizah, Maddox, Jacob and Dylan; and numerous extended family.
Pam was preceded in death by her first husband, Lourie Bergeron; parents, Davis Rhodes and Sylvia Rhodes; and sister, Sheila Guidry.
Visitation services will be held today, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Pam will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following Mass.
