Local teams play at home and away this week

All four local high school football teams will be on the road this week as the West St. Mary Wolfpack travel to take on the Northwest Raiders tonight in Week 2 action.
On Friday, the Franklin Hornets will journey to Walker while the Hanson Memorial Tigers will make the short drive to battle the Delcambre Panthers with the Centerville Bulldogs eyeing a road test at North Central High School of Opelousas.
WEST ST. MARY AT NORTHWEST (TONIGHT)
The West St. Mary Wolfpack (0-1) will be looking for their first win of the season in tonight’s contest in Opelousas versus the 1-0 Northwest Raiders.
During last week’s action, West St. Mary dropped a 14-6 decision to the Beau Chene Gators at Wolfpack Stadium.
The Raiders began last week’s action by rolling past the St. Edmund of Eunice Blue Jays by a final score of 42-6.
FRANKLIN AT WALKER
The Franklin Hornets (0-1) will journey to Walker to square off against the 1-0 Walker High School Chargers.
Franklin’s rally fell short during Friday’s 26-18 loss to the Loreauville Tigers at J. C. Dry Stadium.
Walker hosts Franklin on Friday after pinning a 48-12 setback on Northeast last week.
HANSON AT DELCAMBRE
The Hanson Memorial Tigers (0-1) take to the road to renew their old rivalry with the Delcambre Panthers (0-1) Friday at 7 p.m.
Hanson is coming off a loss to the North Vermilion Patriots last week while the Delcambre Panthers bowed to the Erath Bobcats.
CENTERVILLE AT NORTH CENTRAL
The Centerville Bulldogs (0-1) will make the journey to Opelousas to
face North Central (0-1) in Week 2 action.
Centerville and North Central will be looking to get into the win column during Friday’s action.
