Tree causes power outage in Morgan City

Morgan City Fire Department received a call at 3:02 p.m. Wednesday with reports of a tree branch falling on a power line on Eighth Street in Morgan City, said Morgan City Fire Acting Capt. Heath Landry.
It caused the wire to break. As a result, there was a power outage in the Inglewood Mall circuit area, said Utilities Director Bill Cefalu. Power should now be restored to that area.
