Partnerships benefit students

Bayou Vista Garden Club partnered with Tiger Cub Scout Pack 438 to implement the National Garden Club’s School Gardens Project. The raised planter boxes are located at Bayou Vista Elementary School. The damaged boxes were refurbished, weeded, filled with soil and fertilized by the Cub Scouts and elementary students. As part of Bayou Vista Garden Club’s Adopt-A-School sponsorship, students will plant vegetables and sow seeds. The vegetables produced will be made available to students during “Healthy Snacks” days.
