ARNOLD J. “TUT” BOUDREAUX JR.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin during a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian burial for Arnold J. “Tut” Boudreaux Jr., a native of Baldwin and a longtime resident of Sorrel who passed away at the age of 78 with his family at his side in the evening hours of Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia following a brief illness.
He will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Boudreaux, Rob Duhon, Al Terrebonne, Tyler Boudreaux, Tim Terrebonne, and Gavin Duhon. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Boudreaux, Wade “Butch” Boudreaux, Troy Billiot, and Bubba Landry. Father Cedric Sonnier will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m.
Tut was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking. But his true passion in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include three children, Dena B. Terrebonne and her husband Alvin of Baldwin, Randy Boudreaux and his wife Geralyn “Tee” of Sorrel, and Valerie Duhon and her husband Rob of Bayou Sale; seven grandchildren, Sara Breaux, Savannah Gay and her husband Eddie, Tim Terrebonne and wife Ashley, Macy Boudreaux, Morgan Landry and her husband Bubba, Tyler Boudreaux, and Gavin Duhon; two great grandchildren, Alexus Terrebonne and Madison Boudreaux; one brother, Wade “Butch” Boudreaux and his wife Joy; two sisters, Shirley Migues, and Mildred Boudreaux; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy “Dot” Hernandez Boudreaux; his parents, Arnold J. Boudreaux and Stella Escuriex Boudreaux; and an infant sister, Stella Ann Boudreaux.
