EMELDA B. LIGHTSEY

October 22, 1948-January 5, 2017
Emelda B. Lightsey, 68, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, in Shreveport.
Emelda was a jokester, she always had everyone around her laughing.
Emelda is survived by two sons, Ronnie Lightsey Jr. and his fiancé Brandy Vincent of Shreveport, and Waylon Lightsey and his wife Jen of Prairieville; five grandchildren, Joey Lightsey and Haley Lightsey of Shreveport, and CK, KC and Raylan Lightsey of Prairieville; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
Emelda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lightsey Sr.; her two sons, Louis Lightsey and Leroy Lightsey; her parents, Louis and Amelie Broussard; one granddaughter, baby Alyssa Lightsey; and one brother, Lloyd Broussard Sr.
Emelda will be laid to rest in Ibert’s Cemetery in Patterson next to her husband and son.
