Alec George Race Sr.

Alec George Race Sr., 66, a native of Franklin and a resident of Morgan City, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Ochsner Medical Center.
Alec is survived by his wife, Marietta Woodard Race of Morgan City; one son, Alec G. Race Jr. of Morgan City; one daughter, Deborah Leigh Race Myers of Labadieville; and three grandchildren, Emily Faye Race, Landon Scott Myers and Brittany Renee Myers.
Alec was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Ewing Race.
A memorial service and visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 4 Twin City Funeral Home.
