A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, November 4, 2013, at 12 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Mrs. Beatrice Hidalgo Gaudet, 95, a native of Justin Plantation near Centerville and a longtime resident of Centerville, who passed away peacefully Friday, November 1, 2013, at her home. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Ruben Primor will officiate the services, with Father Oneil Landry assisting.
Survivors include her daughter, Erin G. Borne of Prairieville; her son, Eric Gaudet Jr. of Centerville; one brother, Ken Hidalgo of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Eric Gaudet III of Austin, Texas, Brent Gaudet of Prairieville and Chad Borne of Louisville, Kentucky; and four great grandchildren, Rhett Borne, Wyatt Borne, Stuart Borne, and Ella Beatrice Gaudet.
She was preceded in death her husband, Eric Gaudet Sr.; her parents, Arnold J. Hidalgo Sr. and Lucretia Peltier Hidalgo; three brothers, A. J. Hidalgo Jr., Roland Hidalgo Sr. and Stuart Hidalgo Sr.; and her son-in-law, Clyde Borne.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 12 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 11 a.m.
