Betty Wise Paul, 72, a native and a resident of Jeanerette, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 8:45 a.m., at her residence.
Wake services will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church, 510 Hubertville Road in Jeanerette, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Another viewing and visitation will resume on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until the beginning of funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the services in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Paul leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Juriod T. Palms of Cypress Island, La. and Warren G. Paul II of Beamont, California; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Marlarie) Johnson and Acqueline M. Wise, both of Jeanerette, Wennetta Paul of Beamont, California and Mrs. Brandon (Wanda) Smith of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Edgar Wise Sr. of Port Arthur; Glence Wise Jr. of Richmond, Virginia; and Lionel Wise Sr. of Jeanerette; four sisters, Permella DeVaull of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ruby Coleman of Poughkeepsie, New York, Clara Ann Cole of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Patricia Sweet of Savanna, Georgia; 18 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Paul was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and eight sisters.
