Beverly Holbert Montero

A loving wife, mother and nana, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014.
Born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Beverly moved to Louisiana with her family when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Assumption High School in Napoleonville. She enjoyed spending her days with her baby girl, Lilly Grayce, and also enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, Scrabble and helping others in any way she could. Beverly had one of the biggest, kindest and generous hearts anyone could ever have. Children always brought a smile to her face and joy to her heart.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Anthony Paul Montero; sons, Chuck Joseph Myers and wife, Sarah, and Anthony Paul Montero Jr. and wife, Karen; daughters, Tessa Michelle Rentrop and partner, Kelly, and Suzanne Marie Loland; grandchildren, Lilly Grayce Myers, Saige and Ashlyn Montero, Hailey and Damian Loland, Tommy and Jocelynn Giroir, and Aedynn and Faith Chellette; mother, Wanda Castleberry Guidry and stepfather Dickie Guidry; brothers, Glenn “Sonny” Holbert Jr., and Christopher Holbert and wife, Stacie; sister, Carla Holbert Edwards and husband, Ronald “Tac;” and mother-in-law, Templer Montero.
She is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Holbert Sr.; brother, Brad Gordon Holbert; father-in-law, Frank Montero; and nephew, GySgt. Gregory Mullins.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville. Condolences may be left for the family at www.oursofh.com.
