BISHOP MARJORIE W. DAVIS
Bishop Marjorie W. Davis, 49, a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and a resident of Patterson, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City at 12:55 a.m.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, at Little Zion Baptist Church in Verdunville, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Nazarene Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Bernard Davis, Sr., of Patterson; a son, Richard Bernard (Alicia) Davis Jr., of New Iberia; two daughters, Rafaella Williams-Wallace and Derilyn Williams both of Lafayette; two brothers, Joseph Williams of Verdunville and Ralph (Cheryl) Williams of Phoenix; six sisters, Prophetess Charlottemaine Auston of North Carolina, Prophetess Martha A. Butler (Lloyd) and Mrs. Gary (Carolyn) Paul both of Verdunville, Mrs. Donald (Rose A.) Rhine of Patterson, Olivia McChristian of Galveston, Texas, Vicki Burrell and Mrs. Earl (Terriann) Thomas of New Iberia; five grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and a host of relatives and friends.
Bishop Davis was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters, and a grandson.
Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City, Franklin, Houma and Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
