CAROLYN MAYARD AYO

Memorial services celebrating the life of Carolyn Mayard Ayo will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10 a.m.
Carolyn was born on November 1, 1943, in New Orleans to the late Xavier Francis Mayard and the late Claudia Chauvin Mayard. She was a former longtime resident of Franklin and has been a current resident of New Orleans for the past 48 years. She passed away at the age of 71 on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, following a lengthy battle with kidney disease.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John P. Ayo Jr.; her sons, John F. Ayo and his wife, Lisa, of Fredericksburg, VA; and Jeffrey P. Ayo and his wife, Laura, of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Eric and Chloe Ayo of Knoxville; and Joel Ayo of Fredericksburg; her brother-in-law, James Ayo Sr. and his wife, Gayle, of Covington; two nieces, Janet Laenger and Jennifer Rincon; and one nephew, James Ayo Jr.; as well as their families.
