CHARLES IVORY ‘DINKY’ BROWN
Charles Ivory “Dinky” Brown, 52, a native and a resident of Morgan City, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center at 10:34 a.m.
Visitations will be Saturday, March 1, at Lee Chapel AME Church from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Dinky leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Frankie Marcus of Morgan City, Dakota Charles of New Orleans and Nicholas of Amelia; three daughters, Zaria Miller of Baldwin, Londyn Madison and Lauryn Makinzee, both of Lake Wells, Florida; two stepdaughters, Lakesha Davis and Anequia Charles, both of Franklin; three brothers, Melvin Brown Sr. of Morgan City, Herbert Brown Sr., of Houma and Anthony Brown of St. Martinsville; five sisters, Mrs. Hilton (Joetta) Hebert, Carolyn Long and Mrs. Brian (Janita) Randle, all of Morgan City, Mrs. Edwin (Lydia) Vernon of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Richard (Annie) Wilson of Spring, Texas; two godchildren; and a host of relatives and loving, caring friends.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, his grandparents, three aunts, three uncles, one great niece and three cousins.
