Charles Mitchell Sr, 83, a resident and native of Franklin, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 suddenly at his residence.
Visitations will be Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Preston Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Survivors include his three sons, Charles (Margie) Mitchell of Jeanerette; Keith Mitchell of Houston, Texas; Louis T. Mitchell of New Orleans; four daughters, Gwendolyn Ballet and Shelia (Donald) Oliver, both of Franklin; Charlene (Frederick) Jones and Christine (Michael) Chatman, both of Houston, Texas; and 25 grandchildren.
