CLYDE LEE HAHN SR.

Funeral services will be held at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Mr. Clyde Lee Hahn Sr., a native of Olden, Texas and a 58 year resident of Franklin, who passed away at the age of 87 on Friday, October 31, 2014, at his home following a lengthy illness. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will officiate the Mass. Musical selections will be performed by Clay Boudreaux. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass, with the recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, at 1 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Daingerfield, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be his six sons, Clyde Lee Hahn Jr., Neal Anthony Hahn, Timothy Herbert Hahn, Donald Edward Hahn Sr., Michael Gerard Hahn and Steven Charles Hahn. Honorary Pallbearers will be his son-in-law, Stephen Lancon, and his six grandsons, Joshua Hahn, Caleb Hahn, Levi Hahn, Donald Edward Hahn Jr., Philip Hahn and Todd Lancon.
Mr. Hahn was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, the United States Army, as well as the United States Air Force, having faithfully served his country and fellow man during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Clyde retired with over 35 years of loyal service to Exxon. He was a civil servant to the City of Franklin, serving as a member of the volunteer firefighters and Franklin Police Reserves, as well as assistant scoutmaster for Franklin Boy Scout Troop 1.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores Doty Hahn; seven children, Donna H. Lancon and her husband, Stephen, of Franklin; Clyde Lee Hahn Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Crowley; Neal Anthony Hahn and his wife, Lisa, of Lafayette; Timothy Herbert Hahn and his wife, Alice, of Franklin; Donald Edward Hahn Sr. of Franklin; Michael Gerard Hahn and his wife, Suzanne of Baton Rouge; and Steven Charles Hahn of Franklin; one brother, Norman Neal Hahn of Pleasanton, TX; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Mr. Hahn was preceded in death by his parents, John Benjamin Hahn and Hazel Tomlinson Hahn; one brother, John Edward Hahn; and one sister, Mary Catherine Price.
The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the staff of Heart of Hospice – South Louisiana, for the loving and compassionate care given to Mr. Clyde and also appreciation to Dr. Roland Degeyter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
