Crowell gym purchase

State Rep. Sam Jones, Franklin Mayor Raymond Harris, St. Mary Superintendent of Schools Dr. Donald Aguillard and Franklin Mayor Pro-tempore Lester Levine gathered Friday to sign a purchase agreement for the former E.A. Crowell Elementary gym. The city is purchasing the building from the school board for $48,000, and has received a $75,000 state grant, $27,000 of which will be used for exterior renovations.
