Dana J. Theriot Jr.

July 22, 1979 — October 5, 2013

Dana J. Theriot Jr., 34, was born on July 22, 1979, passed away Oct. 5, 2013. He was a native and resident of Schriever.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at St. Bridget Catholic Church of Schriever from 8 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Chelsi Theriot; parents, Dana Theriot Sr. and wife, Dorinda; brothers, Anthony “Tony” LeBlanc Jr. and wife, Gwen, Larry Heriard Jr. and wife, Shannon, and Callin Theriot; and a sister, Annette LeBlanc.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Perera Smith; a sister, Rebecca Byrd; grandparents, Callin and Ozite Theriot, Henry and Hilda Perera, and Mary Russell. 

Dana J. Theriot Jr., passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Dana was an avid LSU fan and fisherman, but the real love of his life was his daughter, Chelsi Pie, whom he adored. Usually on Sundays, you would catch Dana rooting for his favorite NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart. Dana fought a long, hard battle with colon cancer and lost. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to, Southern Care Hospice, especially Dawn Verret and Kaydra Sleming, Dr. Simoneaux and Dr. Campbell. Dana will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
