David Daugherty

David Daugherty, 60, a resident of Patterson and a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, as the result of a long illness. David loved life and enjoyed making you laugh. He enjoyed fishing, was a great billiards player, and loved country music.
Though he was disabled and could not work as a machinist anymore, he loved his last job at Grant Prideco in Amelia.
David is survived by his wife, Teresa Daugherty, of Patterson; two daughters, Janelle Kruger and Casey Vollriede, both of Wisconsin; four stepchildren, Jennifer Thomas of La Mesa, California; Thomas Judd of Apple Valley, California; Frederick Judd of Crowley, and Allison Judd of Colton, California; and 14 grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother, William Daugherty, and his wife, Elizabeth; his sister, Sherry Daugherty of Bayou Vista; and his half-sister, Rene Pierre and her husband, Steven Pierre, of Lafitte.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Katherine Mutchler Daugherty; and three brothers, Meredith Calloway, Richard A. Daugherty and Donnie Daugherty.
Direct cremation handled by Heritage Cremation Provider Services. A memorial will be held at a later time. Family and friends will be notified.
