DIXIE RODER RUSSO

January 4, 1927-May 23, 2015
Dixie Roder Russo, 88, a native of Berwick and resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015, in Morgan City.
Dixie was the office manager for Job Service, a job she loved and after many years of service, she retired. During retirement Dixie stayed very active and had lots of hobbies. She raised beautiful flowers, African violets, which were her pride and joy. Dixie also enjoyed painting, was a city champion bowler, worked with ceramics and spent time crocheting rugs and other items for her family.
Dixie is survived by one daughter, Maria Russo of Bayou Vista; two grandsons, Jace Guidry and wife, Jordan, of Bayou Vista and William Russo Jr.; two granddaughters, Kara Russo and Christie Russo, of Carthage, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
Dixie was preceded in death by her two husbands, Joseph J. Russo and AJ Landry; one son, Dr. William Anthony Russo; one sister, Mona Roder; and her parents, WB Roder and Tillie Robicheaux Roder.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services will be at Hargrave Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Dixie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
