Donna L. Scully Boutwell

March 26, 1950 — October 3, 2013
Donna L. Scully Boutwell, 63, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Houma.
Donna was born on March 26, 1950, in Brownsville, Texas, the daughter of Willie Joseph and Odelia Daigle Angeron.
Donna loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also loved cooking for them. She loved being in the outdoors going fishing or taking care of her plants. She had a passion for sewing and enjoyed sewing things for her family. She was an avid billiards player and was awarded the “Top Gal” award for the APA Billiard’s League. Donna was the owner and operator of Donna’s Hair Care for many years.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, George Boutwell of Bayou L’Ourse; three children, Melissa Scully Chavers of Morgan City, Bobbie Jo Scully of Morgan City and Bill Scully and wife, Sarah, of Bayou L’Ourse; two stepchildren, George T. Boutwell and wife, Sandy, of Bayou L’Ourse and Amy Boutwell of Bayou L’Ourse; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Donna is also survived by three sisters, Martha Prudhomme of Eunice, Brenda Melvin of Gena, and Billie Bowdoin of Chesapeake, Va.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and first husband, Joseph Adam Scully.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Greg Fratt officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow Mass in the Morgan City Cemetery.
