DORIS MAE GRIFFEN-JOHNSON

Doris Mae Griffen-Johnson, 87, a native of Jeanerette and a resident of Morgan City, died Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 12:07 p.m., at Morgan City Healthcare.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., on Saturday, December 20 at the Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum in Jeanerette.
Doris was a member of the National Education Association, (AARP), Louisiana Retired Teachers Association and former member of St. Mary Retired Teachers Association.
Doris is survived by her caring husband of 63 years, Foster D. Johnson of Morgan City; a loving daughter, Dr. Janice Johnson-Umez of Baytown, TX; two loving and caring grandchildren; a close cousin; three dear friends; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
