Dorismae Rita Rock Ratcliff

Dorismae Rita Rock Ratcliff, 84, a native of Berwick and lifelong resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at the Morgan City Health Care Center.
Dorismae, in her 84 years of life, lived it fully. A people person, she loved to read and travel. Dorismae held many interests, hobbies, and was part of social groups like AARP, the Golden Age Group (for which she was a past Mardi Gras Queen), and the Senior Citizens Group. It was also a known fact that Dorismae really enjoyed her trips to the casinos, watching her soap operas, and playing Bingo.
Dorismae leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Dale Anthony Ratcliff and his wife, Susan Wiggins Ratcliff; one daughter, Gwendalyn Landreneau Chautin and her husband, Sean Chautin; three brothers, Aaron Andrew Rock, David Anthony Rock and Wayne Joseph Rock; two sisters, Gloria Maria Stansbury and Marjorie Ann Lefler; nine grandchildren, Troy Patrick Ratcliff, Joseph Paul Ratcliff, Nicholas Peter Ratcliff, Katheline Kaye Ratcliff Guiteria, Melissa Michele Williams, John K. Landreneau Jr., Donovan Heath Landreneau, Dale A. Ratcliff Jr., Robin Wiggins Blanchard, Brandon Sean Chautin and Joachim Hunter Chautin; 13 great-grandchildren, Mycah James Landreneau, Donovan Cale Landreneau, Sophie Lynn Landreneau, Jessica Michon, Jay Michon, Hallie Ronelle Blanchard, Robert Joseph Blanchard, Remmy Paul Blanchard, Daniel Paul Ratcliff, Shane Theodore Ratcliff, and Stephen Michael Fournier, Allie Williams, and Kayden Williams; two great-great-grandchildren, Tehya Rose Fournier and Eidan Michael Fournier.
She was preceded by her husband, Aubrey R. Ratcliff Sr.; her father, Irvin Andrew Rock; her mother, Lucille Odile Adams Rock; her son, Aubrey R. Ratcliff Jr.; one sister, Earline Marie Short; and one great-grandson, Isaac Angel Guiteria.
The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at 10 a.m. until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral services for Dorismae will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Hargrave Funeral Home with Dorismae being laid to rest with her husband in the Berwick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist in the alleviation of funeral expenses.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Morgan City Health Care Center for their care of Dorismae. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Aunt Gloria for information and dates of family members she provided.
