Dorotha Maxine Bodenhamer
Dorotha Maxine Bodenhamer was born on Nov. 27, 1916, in Ottawa, Kan., to William Winfield and Minnie Blanche Roberts.
Dorotha attended Northeast High School in Kansas City, Mo. She was married for 69 years to Lawrence David Bodenhamer. They were both talented in creating wonderful handmade gifts for their children, grandchildren, family and friends. Mom was always busy doing handwork, quilting, making quillows, and baby quilts for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also made a complete set of “Little Women” dolls with a complete wardrobe, including hats for each of them. They raised and trained Missouri Trotters on their 5 B ranch in their later years, the joy of their lives. Horse shows and trail rides kept them busy sharing fun with friends and fellow horsemen.
She is survived by a son, Larry Bodenhamer and wife, Linda, of Pasadena, Texas; daughter, Sandra (Mrs. Wendle) Huddleston of Morgan City; son, Kenneth Bodenhamer and wife, Lynn, of Houston; son, Wesley Bodenhamer of Houston; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
