EARL JOSEPH EUES SR.

September 20, 1934 -October 22, 2016
Earl Joseph Eues Sr., a 51-year resident of Patterson, passed away at the age of 82 on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at 4:35 p.m. at the Patterson Health Care Center.
Earl was born in Morgan City to the late Felix Joseph Eues and the late Inez Marie LeBoeuf Eues Romero. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a longtime dentist in Patterson.
An active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson, Earl was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. J.J. Rousseau Assembly No. 335, was a past Grand Knight of the Patterson Knights of Columbus Council 1710, was involved in numerous local organizations and was an avid LSU sports fan.
He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Mariko M. Eues; four children, Mary Grace Segura and her husband Art, Earl Joseph Eues Jr. and his wife Kristi, John Charles Eues, and Patricia Ann Moses and her husband Fred; 10 grandchildren, Lauren, John, Kyle and Logan Segura, Seth and Taylor Eues, Brittney and Bradon Eues, and Cameron and Chloe Moses; two great-grandchildren, Carleigh Rae Sampey and Hayden Elizabeth Fuller; and two brothers, Ray Eues, and Wayne Eues and his wife Charlie Ann.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Ida Eues.
A gathering of family and friends will be held today, Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m., led by members of the Knights of Columbus. Visitations will resume Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Joseph during an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Michael Russo will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services, with Father Herb Bennerfield concelebrating.
